Export

LUTScope can export LUT-applied images from multiple sources. All exports are rendered at full resolution.

Export Sources

Source Action Description
LUT Grid Right-click → Save As... Single or multi-selected images
Compare Window Right-click → Save As... Slot image (re-rendered at full resolution)
Preview Window Right-click → Save As... Intensity-adjusted image

Export Formats

  • JPEG: Quality adjustable from 10% to 100% in 10% steps
  • PNG: Lossless compression (no quality loss)
  • TIFF 16-bit: Maximum bit-depth for compositing or further grading

Format Selection Sheet

  1. Trigger an export action
  2. A format selection sheet appears (JPEG / PNG / TIFF 16-bit)
  3. For JPEG, adjust quality with the slider
  4. Choose a filename and destination in the save dialog

Structured Filename

Exported files are automatically given a structured filename so you can identify the settings used, even after the fact.

  • Maximum 180 characters (truncated with hash if exceeded)
  • Special characters are sanitized

Batch Export (Multi-Select)

  1. Select multiple LUT cells in multi-select mode
  2. Right-click → Save As... (X items)
  3. Choose a destination folder in the folder selection dialog
  4. All selected LUTs are exported at once
  5. A toast notification "Saved X images" appears on completion

LUT Summary

LUT Summary exports your current slot assignments and favorite information as a text file. Available for both video and still image workflows.

Steps

  1. Click the LUT Summary button in the main window toolbar
  2. The LUT Summary sheet appears
  3. The following information is displayed in sections:
    • Favorite (Red Heart): Combination favorites list (with titles)
    • Slot Assignments (A–T): Assigned slots list (Input LUT name + Look LUT name)
    • Favorite (Input LUT): Input LUT favorites list
    • Favorite (Look LUT): Look LUT favorites list
  4. Click the Export button
  5. Choose a filename and destination in the save dialog

Exported Content

  • Relative folder paths for each slot's Input LUT / Look LUT (calculated from the common prefix)
  • Relative folder paths for each favorite
  • Source media information
  • LUT file URLs

LUT Summary Package

LUT Summary Package exports LUT files assigned to slots and favorites, along with rendered preview images, into a single organized folder. Available for both video and still image workflows. Useful for sharing with your team or archiving.

Steps

  1. Click the LUT Summary Package button in the main window toolbar
  2. A format selection sheet appears (JPEG: 10–100% quality / PNG: lossless / TIFF 16-bit)
  3. Choose a format and click OK
  4. Select a destination folder in the folder selection dialog
  5. Export begins (with progress indicator)

What Gets Exported

LUT Files (.cube)

LUT files are collected and deduplicated from the following sources:

  • Slot-assigned LUTs (A–T)
  • Combination favorites (red heart) LUTs
  • Input LUT favorites (yellow star) LUTs
  • Look LUT favorites (yellow star) LUTs

The original folder structure is preserved, saved as {OriginalRootFolderName}/SubFolder/LUT.cube.

Progress Display

Progress is shown in two phases: "Copying LUTs (X/Y)" followed by "Rendering previews (X/Y)". LUT file copying and preview image rendering are executed sequentially.

Notes

  • If duplicate filenames are encountered, a _2, _3 suffix is added automatically
  • If no LUTs are selected, a toast notification "No LUTs selected to pack" appears

Settings

The Settings window lets you configure various LUTScope options. Open it from the menu bar → app name → Settings (,).

General Tab

Display

Item Description Range Default
UI Text Size Overall UI text size. Adjusted with a custom track slider 0.7x–2.0x (0.05 steps) 1.0x
Image Background Image background brightness. Adjusted with a black-to-white gradient slider 0.0 (black)–1.0 (white) 0.0 (black)

Both sliders apply after a 500ms debounce.

Language

Supports 8 languages: System / Japanese / English / Deutsch / Français / Español / Português / Simplified Chinese. Changes are applied instantly.

Rendering

Item Description Default
Metal GPU Acceleration Enable/disable Metal GPU acceleration. Disabling may resolve display issues ON
Image Antialiasing Antialiasing for image scaling. Disabling produces sharper but aliased results ON

Data Management

LUT Formats

.cube (3D) Any grid size (17³, 33³, 64³, 65³, etc.). 65³ is kept without resampling (Premiere Pro compatible)
.cube (1D) 2–65,536 entries. Automatically converted to 33³ 3D (trilinear interpolation)

Limitations

HDR Video Dolby Vision, HLG, and HDR10 (PQ) videos are not supported
HEIC HDR Gain Map HEIC images with HDR information are automatically converted to SDR sRGB
Combined 1D+3D LUT .cube files containing both 1D and 3D tables are not supported
Color Space Video: SDR Rec.709 assumed. Still images: sRGB assumed
Platform macOS only (not available on iOS)
